At SBCS, we were greeted by longtime supporter, lecturer Derek Haqq and two of his colleagues Vincent Ramdhanie and Moonesh Lutchman. We spoke with students about the virtues of collaboration, a waiting marketplace of ideas and the TCJ imperative - build with Internet of Things.
All gathered seemed very interested to understand where we coming from in terms of Teleios and the TCJ. It was good to poll the crowd and discover that while most were CIS students, some identified as being creative and entrepreneurial.
For our interaction at COSTAATT, they had invited us to appear on this date specifically because they were launching something special, their first ever programming club. No other COSTAATT campus has such an entity. The pride was palpable as the executive were present in their very red "CHAOTIC CODERS" polos (The club's name is inspired by the Chaos Model of software development) .
COSTAATT officially participated for the first time last year and we had the pleasure of the presence of one of the finalists, Andrea Sylvester. Andrea is currently a Microsoft Evangelist Intern. She was able to speak to the nervousness of participating for the first time.
Stay tuned as we head to UWI and UTT in the following weeks.
