Teleios Code Jam (TCJ) is an internationally recognized software development program, which seeks to inspire and motivate students to recognize their talent and capacity to write software. It is designed to expose students to real world, team based, and collaborative software development, by bringing them together with academia and the industry.
The first TCJ took place in 2008 in the form of a one (1) day coding competition, when Teleios Systems was invited by the University of the West Indies to participate in the Caribbean Internet Forum. This opportunity provided a launching point for what became Teleios Code Jam today. The TCJ has evolved over the years to become a month long event, made up of road shows, video based content delivery, mentorship and the coding competition itself.
The TCJ Build Team
The Build Team is an integral part of TCJ. This planning and coordinating team is made up of a selected group of Teleios staff members who work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that all components of the TCJ run smoothly, and all goals are accomplished.
A key objective of Teleios Code Jam is to inspire participants to be creative and explore the possibilities through software, and what better way could we drive the point home, than to “walk the talk”. Enter Team Unbeatable, an exhibition team from within the ranks of Teleios. This team, whose members change each year is a staple at every TCJ, and although they are not allowed to compete they are dedicated to putting their best foot forward, bringing a fun, fresh and honest perspective to the experience of software creation, whilst embodying the principles that the TCJ is built upon.
